with this evening-wear collection I wanted to work with subversive references that I would normally shy away from to challenge myself. I took a lot of inspiration from the photographs of Robert Maplethrope and the illustrations of Tom of Finland.

there is an emphasis on construction details typically found in fetish-wear, corsetry and mens clothing. A lot of my ideas for shapes came from re-draping and cutting mens collared shirts. I love working with design choices that have already been made in clothes because you learn new ways to utilize traditional construction elements as they shift with your design.
